Avedis stumbled across the Zildjian alloy in 1618 while working on a formula for the creation of gold. This secret alloy has been at the core of their world class cymbal making ever since. 15 people work together to make every single Zildjian alloy cymbal, while specific ranges are pored over and handcrafted using an intense 14-step process. Each cymbal is then sonically tested by a team of experts (with a combined experience of nearly 100 years) to ensure that they meet the high standards you’ve now come to expect from Zildjian products.

Zildjian’s classic sound is embodied by Zildjian A cymbals and immortalised in countless recordings by the greatest drummers of all time. Known for their versatility, these bright cymbals range from thin and delicate to extra heavy and cutting. A steeper curve gives these cymbals a higher profile, while each one is cast from a B20 bronze. This is the most commonly used kind of bronze in cymbal manufacturing, as it offers a much wider frequency range when compared to other metals. This leads to tones of great clarity that will cut through with impressive articulation in just about any band setup. These cymbals are ideal for rock, pop and funk drumming.

The Zildjian 20″ A Avedis Ride Cymbal with its aged patina finish and minimal logo is ideal for anyone looking for that classic Zildjian cymbal look and sound from the 1930 through to the 1970s. Each one of the crash rides in this range are unique and vary in weight which makes choosing one of these cymbals a personal experience.
